We have a position available as a visualization software development intern as part of our Chief Technology Office.

Our Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for high-tech, innovative research and design. CTO continually pushes the boundaries of what’s possible toprovide shared platform, architecture, innovation and development services that are leveraged throughout Siemens PLM and beyond.Project assignments in this organization vary greatly depending on the business needs. At times, students may:

  • Partner withsenior design engineers to develop, modify, and implement software programs

  • Assist in thedesign and implementation of 3Dvisualization software development toolkits or cloud services that are used toimplement other Siemens PLM products

  • Participate on a Scrum team to support the “Agile” softwaredevelopment methodology

  • Engage with the extended development team as well as internaland external customers to support the full cycle of product development

  • Research anddevelop innovative algorithms to confront business challenges

  • Createdocumentation from independent research findings

  • Push thelimits of our current software portfolios to expand our business into new areas

Organization Requirements:

  • Currentlyenrolled as a Penn State University undergraduate student

  • Minimum3.0 GPA

  • Permanentlyeligible to work in the US without sponsorship by an employer

  • Preferredsophomore or junior status

  • Studying for aBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • Strong codingskills in C, C++, JAVA, JavaScript, or HTML

  • Rapidly learnnew development languages and coding techniques

  • Knowledgeablein object oriented programming

  • Understand the concept of class and inheritance
