Job Description:

Responsibilities

Responsible Siemens US Talent Acquisition

  • Experienced rotating equipment specialist with emphasis on multi-stage process air compressors

  • Reports to Department Manager

  • Specification review, scope and RFQ package preparation, review of quotations, vendor and budget recommendations.

  • Engineering of equipment items which may involve special materials of construction, unique code/regulatory requirements, or unique design solutions.Tasks include:

  • Development or checking of equipment calculations

  • Review of project documents

  • Review of vendor submittals against project requirements

  • Prepare engineering deliverable packages for transmittal to customers

  • Review customer comments and coordinate communication of comments to the project team and vendors.

  • Interface with internal and external contacts; involved in vendor development and addressing technical issues with vendors.Tasks include:

  • Problem solving for internal design issues

  • Provide technical evaluation for vendor issues

  • Provide focused equipment status to Project Engineering and Management

  • Able to solve most technical issues independently

  • Able to communicate technical issues effectively to Project Engineers, Project Managers, vendors, and customers

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Able to read and understand drawings and specifications

  • Coordinate delivery of engineering deliverables and equipment on time and on budget

  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Experienced at dealing with multiple activities with minimum direction

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to be flexible in handling changing schedules and priorities

  • Monitor project man-hour expenditures against plan

  • Must be able to travel

  • Mature engineering judgment

  • Able to recognize technical and commercial impacts of issues; makes resolution recommendations to Project Engineering and Management when potential for cost and / or schedule impact exists

Requirements for Candidates

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 5-8 years of experience in the water treatment process industry
