Job Description:
Overview:
Siemens Industry is looking for a Bid Coordinator to support the Southern Virginia and Eastern North Carolina. This person will support the Sales team in the aforementioned geography. The successful candidate will review requests from customers, SE’s, and other bid coordinators. Determine whether projects should be bid by Siemens, bid by distributors, or no bid. This person reports to the Sales Manager and will have no direct reports.
Responsibilities:
• Distribute Bid List – Generate the bid list from the bid board, and send it to team and external bid list contact group every Monday.
• Manage Bid Board – Drive team to use the bid board and keep their opportunities updated. Keep all other information on the bid board up to date.
• Bid Meetings – Schedule bid meetings per the manager’s instructions. Lead the first half of the meeting by reviewing the open Philos opportunities and the current bid board opportunities.
• MCC’s – Bid coordinators are responsible for quoting above standard MCC’s in their area or forwarding the RFQ to a TSE for quote. MCC’s with Drives should go to a TSE. Manage MCC RFQ log.
• PDS/Power Monitoring – Responsible for quoting small power metering projects of 5 meters or less for the Area. For larger PDS projects with SEM3, you should contact the regional sales rep.
• LVS – Work with product line to achieve quote.
• Bid Coordinator is responsible for getting Buyout Quotes from MAP group.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Education:
2 plus years Proposal creation/Bid Coordinator experience but not required.
Excellent oral and written skills.
Ability to work in a team as well
College degree preferred but not required.
