Our goal is to find and correct errors of high risk that could lead to failures which have high impact on the safe operation conditions of an embedded control unit. This requires a test framework which enables a systematic test design and development of test scripts to optimize the test execution time and failure objective. In your role as an intern your tasks will be to design and implement adapters for the test framework as well as to design and implement test cases required to adequately cover the critical requirements needs.
The intern will work with other members of our group to design and implement a test strategy concept. The intern will work together with a test architect, a test developer, and subject matter experts to test and validate a high quality product to improve rail safety. The responsibilities will include the entire lifecycle of testing including the requirements analysis, test design, test implementation as well as test execution.
What are my responsibilities?
Develop test automation scripts in C+- BS or MS students in Software Engineering or related fields e.g. Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Develop/extend tools to interface with test and development infrastructure
Design and implementation of test cases
Maintaining and updating the test repository
Running test cases on hardware
What skills are needed to qualify for this internship?
Proficient in software development with C++/C
Shall be passionate about testing and validating embedded products.
Has experience with embedded real-time applications
Has experience in continuous integration testing, for example with Jenkins, is a plus
Pays attention to detail and an ability to work independently and on a team
Experience with IBM RQM or other test management tools is a plus
Experience with ClearCase or other SCM software is a plus
