Position Overview

Intern is responsible for assisting Procurement Controller - Methods and processes. This will be a 30 hour intern work week.

Responsibilities

  • Create and support Supplier qualification process.

  • Ensure registration of suppliers through portal (Click 4 suppliers) which is standardized throughout Siemens.

  • Make sure that procurement questionnaire is in place and basic qualification for suppliers is complete so they can fully become a “registered Siemens supplier”.

  • Examine supplier information and fulfillment of legal obligations and standards (minimum requirements) making sure information complies with Siemens requirements.

  • Provide assistance to commodity managers and/or buyers with click 4 suppliers qualification related topics as well as qualification status.

  • Assist and review when needed, Vendor Master Information in the SAP system. (ex. supplier number, name, address, IFA, etc. )

  • Maintain list/report of qualified suppliers, requester, status, etc.

  • Involvement with process improvement between C4S and ASD.

  • Support in other Procurement and Supply Chain operational activities as needed.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing Bachelor degree in Industrial or General Engineering, or Business Degree or similar degree. Must have 1 year left of school.

  • Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

  • Must have strong Excel skills from pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Detail oriented and well organized

  • Be able tocollect, manage, analyze and interpret data

  • Basic technical skills needed to asses the supply base and understand our product portfolio
