Position Overview

"Are you ready to support Service Project Management, Field Service Representatives and be a customer advocate?"

  • The CS Specialist Engineer (Nuclear Support) works to support customers in both the nuclear sector and commercial sector.

  • The CS Specialist Engineer (Nuclear Support) provides not only technical support to the Field Service Engineer but critical support to the proposal team and other CS functions.

  • If you are the successful candidate you will report to the New Kensington Aftermarket Proposals Supervisor and will be a vital part of supporting the Siemens New Kensington Large Drives customers.

Responsibilities

  • CS Specialist Engineer (Nuclear Support) Roles and Responsibility:

  • Technically supporting the nuclear and commercial sector during break/fix, outages and customer upgrade situations.

  • Provide technical data to the proposal team for customer proposals.

  • Supporting the CS oPLM and Business Development team on new customer offerings.

  • Supporting the Nuclear Service Project Manager on all technical aspects of the projects and customer interactions.

  • Supporting the Field Service Representatives on and off site.

  • Interacting with various technical resources with Siemens, customers and vendors.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering

  • Proven customer support experience

  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • 15% travel based on customer requested meetings and support

  • 5+ years field service engineering

  • 10+ service years sales quote development

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 20+ years electrical engineering

  • 5+ years equipment test plan development

  • 10+ years nuclear experience

  • 10+ years PLC/HMI programming experience

  • Variable frequency drives experience

  • SAP experience
