Customer Education Development Specialist - GI
The Customer Education Development Specialist designs and develops Ultrasound clinical education course content to address customer training needs after system purchase. This education content must align with the overall business goals of the company and support revenue-based education services. The education content developed will be customized for our global, web-based e-learning portal called PEPconnect. Training and education will be provided to Siemens Healthineers Ultrasound customers to enable the effective use of our ultrasound products and therefore contributing to the successful attainment of business targets. Delivery of these programs will be through classroom as well as web based/virtual instructor led trainings (VILT). Design and implementation of the education program will be an extension of our accelerated customer growth, business success and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Customer Service organization supporting the Ultrasound Business Area.
The Customer Education Development Specialist will collaborate with key clinical experts in the Ultrasound Business Area before and after development of new product releases to ensure that education course material represents advanced applications as utilized on Siemens products and reflects current diagnostic trends. The Customer Education Development Specialist will ensure effective delivery of the content according to committed timelines and budgets.
Provide the necessary education strategy and vision around education delivery to leadership in order to meet the business objectives and demands
Responsible for supporting the development of programs to meet stated timelines, in a fashion in accordance with approved learning models, and to deliver these programs through the tools that Siemens selects to support the education delivery. The development can include content writing, manuals, Power Point presentations, CD’s, Tech Tips, Computer Based Training modules, online tutorials, classroom, workshops and maintaining the modality specific curricula to reflect trends in a dynamic medical specialty
Must be able to facilitate, control, and monitor a full range of engagement tools including live conversation, chat, polls and quizzes and be able to incorporate tools for webinars, remote labs, hands on and video conferencing.
Ensure all developed courses deliver consistent messages that are aligned with the department policies, strategies and business plans
Act as a liaison with business unit, sales support, marketing, and education managers to facilitate implementation of new ultrasound products
Consistently deliver high level quality of education and training to both internal and external customers.
Position yourself as a consultant to both internal and external customers, and be comfortable and confident is upselling / recommending education programs to customers
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a General Imaging sonographer in a hospital setting
• Qualified candidate should be registered through the ARDMS in Abdominal Imaging and Vascular.
Other accreditations or certifications highly desired such as Breast, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, MSK, etc.
• Candidate ideally should have Siemens Ultrasound experience
• Provide consultative support for online education programs and advanced clinical applications in collaboration with key clinical experts
• Demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate with physicians and other higher-level medical staff
to ensure high quality education development
• Demonstrated ability to understand, design and teach complex anatomy and medical imaging in
written and audiovisual formats
• Demonstrated ability to apply project management processes to plan, develop and execute education
content within required timelines and budgets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• Understanding and experience in education design and development
· Previous classroom teaching experiencerequired
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems internally and externally
• Proficiency with required computer systems, programs and education development software
• Must be willing to travel 50-75% as necessary
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Registry required: Abdominal Imaging
Registry preferred: Vascular, Breast, OB/GYN, MSK, Cardiac
Thorough understanding of Thorough understanding of: Advanced clinical applications and 3D/4D as it applies to General Imaging and Obstetrics
Thorough understanding of Women’ Health Care Ultrasound and Fetal Echo
Working knowledge of: MSK and POCpreferred
Working knowledge of Cardiac imagingpreferred
Participation in clinical researchpreferred
Previous leadership experience preferred
Commercial medical equipment businessorsales experience preferred
Must be able to discuss education options and be comfortable up-selling the customer on additional education.
Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) or equivalent a plus.
