This position reports to the Director of Commodity Management, Strategic Procurement and will work with a team of three Commodity Specialists in the US and three in South. Korea. This role will be responsible for managing multiple global commodities with primary responsibility for creating and implementing a long term roadmap for commodity strategies; driving contract negotiations; cost reduction negotiations and managing supplier relationships.

*Establish Major Implementation Milestones
*Negotiate and Implement Year over Year cost reductions for your Commodity area
*Champion the RFQ and Supplier Selection Process
*Strategy Alignment: Partner with other functions within the business unit to align the commodity strategies with the internal customer requirements. Gather inputs and achieve consensus with:
Engineering for new product activities; Marketing for portfolio roadmaps; Manufacturing for sustaining activities; Service for end of life activities; Internal and external suppliers; Requirements Matrix for Supplier Management; and Sourcing and alignment strategies for key suppliers (products)
*Corporate Functions: Participate in Commodity Management activities that are directed from outside our business unit to maintain commodity strategy alignment and achieve Siemens global business goals.
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration.
Must have strong sourcing and in depth contract negotiation skills with proven track record of cost reductions with suppliers.
Demonstrated track record in negotiating and closing Contract and Master Supply Agreements.
Experience with improving supplier relations and supply chains is strongly preferred.
Medical device, technical/engineering, or operations background and knowledge on what it takes to run an effective business, is a plus.
Electronics Components and EMS Commodity management is a plus.
