Siemens US Talent Acquisition

Position Overview

Work with an engineer/scientist/mentor on ultrasound imaging innovations projects to rapidly prototype new ideas. The position will report to the ADCV manager in PLM.


  • Support a sub-part of imaging innovations project(s) and deliver quality work according to a schedule.

  • Effectively communicate with their mentor and Siemens USD regarding any issues encountered and successes achieved.

  • Prepare and conduct design reviews throughout the project. Demo your work at the end of internship period.


  • BS in EE, ME, Biomedical Engineering or Physics; graduate students or post-docs preferred

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent programing skills in Matlab/C++/C#/Python

  • Ability to rapidly prototype new ideas.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Basic exposure to medical ultrasound imaging, transducers, wave propagation, image formation, image processing, signal processing, linear and nonlinear acoustics, machine learning

  • Clinical Applications: Some general knowledge of clinical applications (Cardiology, General Imaging) and a basic ability to communicate with clinical specialists
