Job Description:

Position Overview:

Drive strategic direction and design for SaaS (Software as a Services) product documentation and user assistance. Develop documentation for selected SaaS products.


Staff position reporting directly to LMD Senior Director responsible for product documentation

Primary liaison for LMD Senior Director, LMD management staff, and SaaS product owners to promote strong cross-functional collaboration for SaaS documentation

Design, develop and author product documentation and user assistance for selected SaaS products

Consult with product developers to ensure quality of API product documentation

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or in a technical field.

5+ years of related experience in technical communication, instructional design, engineering, or computer science, including experience as a leader in developing documentation for customers of SaaS products.

Experience in Siemens PL customer industries or implementations preferred.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

5 years of experience performing audience and user task analyses to design user-assistance content meaningful to the customer experience for SaaS products.

5 years of experience as a project manager leading teams and projects of moderate size, complexity, and importance.

5 years of experience evaluating customer satisfaction through surveys, usability testing, and interviews, and interpreting and applying the results

Extensive knowledge of Siemens PLM Software products and customers and technical/engineering concepts
