An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Procurement Fleet Commodity Manager to join our Supply Chain Management team in Manchester. In this role, you will have joint responsibility for managing the total Purchasing Volume (PVO) for this specific indirect material commodity, which exceeds £30 Mil (UK). Sub-Commodities include but are not limited to; Car leasing, car hire, Road risk, Accident management, Fuel / EV solutions, OEM Management and fork lifts across the Siemens Businesses.

You will work in a small, dynamic, flexible team with a great emphasis on team work and development to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

As a Commodity Manager, your main objective will be to drive procurement value across Siemens UK businesses while collaborating with UK, EMEA, and global teams. You’ll create impact by:

  • Develop, implement, and communicate Commodity strategies and Pooling strategies (based on conducted demand, market and supplier analyses) within Fleet.

  • Lead on supply chain optimisation and bring innovative ideas to the business. Use and create data analytics to bring transparency and drive behaviours.

  • Define and implement negotiation concepts to maximise value. Negotiate frame contracts; and run complex tenders to find Trusted Partners.

  • Develop strong relationships with customers & partners, enhancing collaboration and developing solutions to the meet business needs

  • Develop and drive sustainability topics to make a positive impact for Siemens.

You’ll build on your existing expertise, including:

  • Broad supply chain knowledge with experience in a Fleet function

  • Passion to support our vehicle electrification strategy

  • Fleet market knowledge / intelligence / legislative requirements

  • Experienced in data analysis, and reporting (Fuel consumption and Sustainability targets to aid decision making

  • Ability to demonstrate financial acumen to support target saving objectives

  • Understanding of legal contracts, and able to advise on contractual terms

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong supplier relationship management

  • Customer focused, with ability to build trust and confidence quickly and expertly

  • Creative thinking and a forward-looking mindset.
