Flender Corp. (a Siemens company) is in search of an industry to industry sales professional with experience in selling industrial gear units and couplings to OEM’s, Distributors or EPC’s. Prior sales experience with open gearing, gear units or couplings is highly preferred. Experience in direct OEM or End-user sales and managing a distribution / sales representative network is a strong plus. This position will report to the Sales Manager and is located in the Northern US market space.
The top candidate chosen for this key role will be responsible for formulating and executing business plans to penetrate and grow industrial accounts in the referenced marketplace. The product portfolio is focused on standard or special gear units for industrial applications, couplings or complete integrated drive trains.
Develop and implement regional business plans that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty.
Pursue long-term account strategy that maximizes profits.
Identify, develop and manage potential distribution partners to achieve goals.
Assist in cultivating long-term relationships with the appropriate key account decision makers.
Develop a complete understanding of the organization's structure and key buying influences of assigned account.
Perform client presentations articulating the value proposition of product / solution / service offerings.
Provide management with suggestions for improving volume, market share and price levels.
Develop forecasts, budgets and operating plans for all sales channels.
Provide general guidance or train support and/or professional staff.
Four year BS/BA degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus but, not required, or advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Family Responsibilities:
Guides Business Unit to achieve business objectives at each main accounts (for example, penetration of account with product/solution/service offerings). May identify, develop and manage distribution partners or third party Sales Rep to achieve sales goals. Leverages Flender global reach to influence decisions on projects for delivery to the customer in the US, or purchased by the customer in the US. Guides the development and execution of strategic account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals. Develops / builds / cultivates long-term relationships with key management within the customer organization. Assists management in devising sales plans and strategies. Responsible for development of forecasts and sales budgets including sales channels. May form dedicated account teams and coordinate team activities while minimizing sales and marketing costs and maximizing sales. Leads account reviews and updates of account plan based on changing market, customer conditions, and competitive activity.
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
