Job Description:

Siemens is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our ultrasound imaging design team in Issaquah, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed design and verification of a wide array of electronic hardware designs for ultrasound systems and transducers.


· Create electronic design requirements and specifications

· Develop board level schematics and circuit designs

· Design FPGAs utilizing Verilog HDL

· Develop robust test-bench/simulation environments for FPGA testing and verification

· Develop timing and physical implementation constraints

· Create and execute verification plans written for board or FPGA designs

· Participate in design integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams

· Hold detailed design reviews for FPGA and PCB designs

· Support PCB layout activities

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

· BSEE with 5+ years of experience with high-speed PCB or FPGA design

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience designing analog and digital circuits

· FPGA/Verilog RTL design skills

· Familiarity with schematic capture tools (Mentor DxDesigner or similar), VHDL/Verilog simulation tools (ModelSim or similar), and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro/Mentor)

· Use test equipment in a lab environment to debug/test/verify board and FPGA designs

· Familiarity with board stack up and layout requirements

· Experience designing electronic circuits for medical devices is highly desirable
