Business Development Process Instrumentation Solutions

Join a motivated team to help identify and solve customer process automation challenges that can be solved through integrated Digitalization solutions using Siemens Process Instrumentation.

Position Overview / Responsibilities

Within our Process Instrumentation team, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to further grow our solutions business in the USA. The role includes developing sales strategies to bridge from our traditional portfolio of process instrumentation into solution offerings including Digitalization and IoT infrastructure.

  • Drives the business development of solutions based on using PI products in integrated solutions through collaboration with Process Automation group and others Siemens entities

  • Introducing new offerings to foster the convergence of IoT through data-driven services and solutions

  • Prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing business to existing and new customers

  • Develop and deliver professional presentations, letters of understanding/intent

  • Respond to requests for information/proposals/quotations

  • Establish relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements, in particular with IoT integration

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering / Automation & Control

  • At least 8 years of work experience in developing and selling integrated solutions using automation and process instrumentation sensors products

  • Ability to lead across multiple IT and OT disciplines and communication protocols to ensure program success based on an IoT infrastructure

  • Knowledge about automation systems integration and connectivity using industry know protocols and communications methodologies, including cloud computing

  • Comprehensive knowledge of technologies from field devices and sensors, sensor nodes, platform and software cloud applications

  • Knowledge on SW integration, communication protocols and the related electrical engineering

  • Excellent consulting / relationship management skills. Ability to negotiate / mediate difficult, complex, and often politically charged issues.

  • Experience in consultative selling on C-level

  • Strong presentation, negotiation and communication skills in English
