Job Description:

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

  • We are looking for cloud architects to manage and independently drive forward the transformation of existing applications and the design of new applications for a cloud-based modern architecture

  • You will define cloud-based operation for applications and infrastructure, create cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure) and design them

  • You will work with security teams to ensure that the solutions comply with Siemens ISEQ (Information Security) guidelines, industry best practice and regulatory requirements

  • You will coordinate development, deployment and infrastructure teams to develop cloud solutions

  • Your duties will also include developing the cloud roadmaps along with implementation and support for business case analyses

  • You will communicate regularly with customers and be responsible for the technical coordination of team colleagues

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate

  • You have successfully completed a degree in a technical or scientific discipline (computer science, mathematics, physics, etc.) or can offer a comparable qualification with a corresponding relevant professional experience

  • You have several years of professional experience in software infrastructure, development and operation of enterprise systems; you also have at least 3 years of professional experience with cloud and cloud data processing (i.e. AWS, Azure, Private)

  • Ideally you also have experience of integration and distribution tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins or Microsoft TFS

  • You have a very good knowledge of the IaaS and PaaS services offered by cloud platforms and their use in solving complex business issues

  • You have a very good knowledge of Docker Containers and Microservices Architecture, ideally with professional experience, and can demonstrate professional experience with Scrum Agile methodology

  • You offer outstanding communication skills and analytical skills as well as a results-oriented approach and ability to convince; you also have a sound business knowledge of written and spoken English

  • You have experience in requirements engineering and software quality processes as well as in-depth experience in project planning and project management
