Job Description:

Position Overview

This global demand planning position is focused on forecasting and demand planning for a rapidly growing and critical new product line.

This position will be responsible for maximizing service levels while achieving inventory targets through the accurate formulation of global end user demand forecasts and distribution center replenishment planning.

It requires a candidate who can work in close collaboration across functional areas that include production, logistics, marketing and customer service.

The person in this position will participate on high-visibility teams and initiatives that require accurate and timely data analysis and the ability to work under deadlines. Responsibilities

  • Analyze and adjust demand forecasts to increase forecast accuracy

  • Plan and maintain appropriate stock levels at the primary and secondary distribution centers

  • Product life cycle planning for new releases and end-of-life materials

  • Develop allocation strategies with Marketing and Production to balance inventory supply with customer requirements to mitigate inventory delays and shortages

  • Continually monitor inventory and adjust forecasts and demand plans to prevent customer backorders while minimizing expired stock scrap

  • Monthly updates to S&OP data reports tracking metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory targets and expired & obsolete scrap

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 5 or more years Demand Planning/Forecasting experience

  • SAP or similar ERP system experience in Sales and Distribution and Materials Management

  • High level of proficiency Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification desired

  • Experience planning batch (lot) managed materials

  • Experience in an FDA regulated or similar industry
