As a Fire Suppression Technician you will perform on-site preventative and corrective maintenance on existing Fire water systems and Infrastructure at Cape Canaveral Air Station located in Florida. These systems include wet and dry pipe, deluge, and wet and dry chem kitchen hood systems. More specifically this individual will perform tests and expectations on systems and perform repairs when necessary.
Test and inspect all Fire Water Systems per NFPA and UFC applicable codes.
Document and write a report on all discrepancies found during tests and inspections of the Fire Water Systems, recommend needed repairs
Complete repairs on discrepancies found during inspections
Test and inspect existing kitchen hood systems.
Document and write a report all discrepancies found during the testing and inspections of hood systems, recommending needed repairs.
Complete repairs on discrepancies found during the inspection
Maintain all required certifications and complete all trainings required by contract.
US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance when necessary.
High School Diploma. Technical Degree is highly preferred
Minimum three (3) years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining fire water and kitchen hood systems.
Knowledge of NFPA and UFC standards and codes
Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet all required metric time targets set forth by customer
Ability to follow engineered job plans and make suggestions on improvements to systems in job plans.
Ability to complete repairs independently with little to no complications
Ability to work successfully on a team as well as independently
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) , with the ability to write clear and concise reports and speak to what is documented in the report to managers.
NICET II Certification in Fire Suppression.
Active Driver’s License in good standing
Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship and have the ability to meet the requirements to obtain a US Security Clearance.
