Our Building Automation Solutions Senior Commissioning Engineers support a team of installation specialists, commissioning technicians and project managers responsible for new construction, migration and owner-directed building automation system projects. Why is this so important? As a Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the technical execution of projects, along with serving as a technical liaison for project managers, ensuring successful project implementation.

As a Building Automation Controls Solutions Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will:

  • Attend engineering to operations turnover meetings; identify gaps in submittal documents

  • Assist project manager in development of RFIs

  • Review third-party equipment submittals, wiring requirements and identify compatibility issues

  • Maintain customer-specific site standards

  • Direct onsite electrical subcontractors; confirm that installation practices meet project specifications

  • Review existing site conditions and impact on scope of work

  • Field identify location of BMS sensors, components, and control panels

  • Identify change order opportunities through onsite review of supplied equipment, monitoring RFI logs and bulletins

  • Attend MEP coordination and foreman meetings

  • Coordinate project close-out document mark-ups for as-built development.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED

  • 7+ years experience with HVAC System Automation/Building Automation Controls including knowledge of design, startup, programming, integration, documentation, and commissioning

  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel 5%

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • The pay range for this position is $86,800 - $148,800 / year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
