Job Description:

As a Financial Analyst Siemens you will provide financial and operational transparency and analysis to support business planning and performance management for the Building Technologies Division.


  • Participates in analyzing financial results to determine accuracy and completeness of information.

  • Participates in the timely and accurate preparation of various financial reports; compiles and reviews financial plans and budgets.

  • Performs financial analysis at an intermediate level including variance and risk analysis of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, financial ratios and cost center.

  • Ensures conformance to IFRS requirements.

  • May participates in commercial/contract activities, pricing, margin calculations, etc.

  • Applies an understanding of and participates in the development of project plans (i.e. actions, resources required and timelines).

  • Communicates project outcomes.

  • Independently performs important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues.

  • Refers semi-complex, unusual problems to others.

  • Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems.

  • Ability to create presentations and reporting.

  • Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities and proposes recommended solutions.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certification may be required in some areas.

  • Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments.

  • Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

  • Ability to acquire system skills to perform daily role (e.g. SAP, Hyperion Essbase, ThinkCell, Smart Analysis Applications).

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office required.

  • Ability to adapt to the changing digital landscape.

Typically 2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group. Interact effectively with all stakeholders and participate in teams and groups and cooperate with others.

May provide general guidance or train others. Ability to support meetings, coordinate actions and follow up.
