Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Prior experience within the Marine industry including Automation, Drives and Power Systems on marine vessels and platforms. Experience with project execution, detailed engineering and/or service. Extensive experience in AC and DC industrial drive systems & motors and good computer skills. Specific experience on Siemens Sinamics Drive systems, Siemens S7 based automation systems, Blue Drive and Blue Drive Plus C,. Willingness to travel extensively in the US and work the hours needed on job sites to complete the tasks at hand. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in Industrial Control applications in the marine or related industry where medium to large electrical and automation systems containing drives, automation systems, HMI systems etc. are extensively used. Must be accurate and detailed, while working in a fast paced environment with multiple people / projects demanding attention and time. Must be proficient in time management, in planning workload and specific tasks, and to achieve completion dates. Proven track record of developing excellent customer relationships while acting independently to develop and execute customer solutions. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. Candidate must be familiar with applicable North American and international codes and standards and OSHA, safety and lock-out / tag-out procedures.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 5 Years or greater experience in the marine industry
• 5 Years experience with Siemens drives and automation systems
• Work experience with Siemens Masterdrives, Sinamics Drives, Siemens S7 PLC's, PCS-7 Systems, Generator Controls, Excitation Systems
