Position Overview

At Siemens, our Cities program is changing the lives of people every day. This role will be key to connect infrastructure to enhance and improve performance as Cities face unprecedented challenges!

We have built up an organization over the last 5 years to address the needs of the city market and we are now going to ramp up our activities in Smart Cities to help cities connect their infrastructure and drive value that matters to citizens.

This position will lead the global IoT approach for Cities anddevelop the business model for all IoT verticals,including the identification and management of partners. The role will bundle Siemens wide IT/ OT offerings and manage interfaces.


  • IT and OT expert for system architecture and system integration

  • Develop projects with Cities to design and implement system architecture

  • Steer global IoT activities with Cities and related use cases

  • Ramp up City IoT activities for the City market

  • Align Siemens stakeholders for development, bidding, implementation

  • Responsibility of Order Intake for City IoT projects worldwide.

  • Develop and manage partner network

  • Market transparency; provide input for market potential, trends, eco-system and business processes for the IoT City market.

  • Represent Siemens Digital City Application offerings at internal and external international fairs, exhibitions and conferences. Improve the positioning of Siemens as provider for Digital City Solutions.

  • Contribute through best practices and lessons learned to the optimization of global/ regional partnering strategies

  • Validation of City Solutions and customer feedback/requirement

  • Align IOT Services with overall Siemens Strategy and ensure product development and architectural design with Siemens Software Framework

  • Internationally mobile with 25% of time for travelling.


  • Bachelor Degree required

  • Over 10 years of experience working on IT/ OT integration projects.

  • 8 years of experience working in a technology, engineering or IT company or city management expertise with a technical, digital context.

  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience

  • Expertise in sales development of digital applications (process, technology, finance).

  • Proven track record with the Integration of different stakeholders (strong interpersonal skills and team orientation).

  • Professional experience in an international environment.

  • Digital Business; open IoT platforms; digital applications; analytics; data processing and bid management
