About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!

We are looking for a Service Project Coordinator. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

As a Service Project Coordinator at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of service projects related to low and medium voltage power distribution equipment. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of service projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, client communication, order execution, and invoicing within SAP. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Collaborate with the service team to develop project plans and schedules for service projects related to low and medium voltage power distribution equipment.

  • Ensure that project timelines are clearly defined and communicated to all stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments to schedules as necessary to ensure timely completion.

Resource Allocation:

  • Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, for service projects.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure that resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the duration of service projects.

  • Provide regular updates to clients on project status, including any changes to schedules or scope of work.

  • Address client inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.

Order Execution and Financial Oversight within SAP:

  • Responsible for entering orders accurately into SAP system, ensuring all relevant details are captured.

  • Work with factories and vendors to obtain necessary parts needed

  • Create purchase requisitions and credit memos as needed

  • Submit tax documentation and customer set up documentation when required.

  • Generate and process invoices within SAP, verifying billing accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.

  • Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to resolve any invoicing discrepancies or issues.

  • Provide accurate monthly forecast

Budget Management and Change Orders

  • Develop and maintain budgets, by monitoring cost throughout the project lifecycle

  • Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions to keep projects within budget contraints

  • Manage change orders effectively, including assessing impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget and obtaining necessary approvals from clients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED required; Associate degree preferred

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in the field of electrical engineering or power distribution.

  • Proficiency in SAP ERP system, specifically in order entry and invoicing modules.

  • Proficient in Salesforce.com platform or other cloud-based customer management system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and/or work experience with some or all of the following areas is preferred: LV switchgear, breakers, Medium voltage switchgear (both AIS and GIS), Medium voltage spare parts and vacuum replacement breakers.

  • The pay range for this position is $48,650 - $83,400. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
