Position Overview :
Position will be responsible for executing major projects in the Asset Services business area to include substation retrofits, major equipment installations such as transformers, power circuit breakers, replacement breakers, control upgrades and switchgear modifications.
Oversee execution phase of projects from receipt of order to final invoicing.
Serve as primary interface to customer to complete jobs on schedule, control job costs at or below budget, achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and manage change orders to increase job profitability.
Effectively communicate contract and schedule requirements to Siemens site managers, field technicians, field engineers and contractors. Clearly present project status updates in formal reviews
Schedule, monitor and approve costs related to completion of projects, including vendor invoices, Siemens direct and indirect subcontractor labor hours and use of job related equipment at site.
Communicate with Siemens factories regarding warranty support, provision of local field expertise and installation proposals.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
BS degree in engineering or 5+ years experience in directly related field.
Highly organized and focused on results; demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and monitor technical projects, delivering on time and budget.
Process oriented mindset for managing projects.
Adherence to Siemens PM processes and procedures.
Commitment to customer satisfaction and maintaining project cost control.
Good organizational skills to respond to multiple inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to work well in teams, interacting routinely with finance, marketing, field service operations and equipment divisions to achieve a common goal.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Familiarity with T&D equipment, including large power transformers, power circuit breakers and/or switchgear is desirable.
PMI or equivalent project management certification a plus; eventual certification will be a requirement.
