Job Description:

Main Responsibilities:

The Manager of Contract Administration will lead a team of Contract Administrators who are tasked with SAP and order entry and maintenance of both simple and complex projects across the Medium Voltage and Systems Business Unit. The Contract Administration team also has responsibility for project managing small project orders. The Manager of this team will own the order entry process to ensure there are documented work instructions and consistent alignment across the team and the business unit regarding processes. This person will develop, coach, and drive ownership and accountability into the team from order entry through cash collection and project closure. This individual will be a key stakeholder that will assist in establishing best practices for the handover process from sales teams to Contract Administration, Commercial Project Management, and Project Management. The individual will support contract negotiations in the execution stage of a project to close change orders, claims, and collect payment from customers for projects his/her team executes. The individual must have the ability to work within a matrix organization, collaborate with Technical Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers, Engineering, Proposal Management, Business Management, and customers to accomplish business goals and ensure customer satisfaction.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience

Other Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement projects across multiple functions

  • Ensure timely and accurate order entry and invoicing by developing and managing staff

  • Ensure adherence to Siemens guidelines for revenue recognition and inventory

  • SAP “Super User” within the functional area of expertise

  • Trains new team members on SAP and order entry and maintenance

  • Work with management to develop KPIs for the Contract Administration function

  • Prepare and present presentations to peers and management

  • Write procedures and policies as well as implement them

Key Skills:

  • Intermediate understanding of customer contracts/terms & conditions

  • Candidate must possess managerial and internal control skills

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes

  • Understanding of procurement processes

  • Experience with change order & claims management

  • Ability to influence internal business teams

  • Ability to manage and develop a team

  • Comfortable discussing commercial contract issues with customers

  • Working knowledge of construction contract accounting (i.e. percentage of completion and completed contract accounting)

  • Financial forecasting of revenue & costs for construction projects

  • Intermediate to Advanced SAP

  • Basic to Intermediate
