Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking an Electrical Assembler for our Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit, focused on the Distribution Systems Product portfolio. Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products including but not limited to low voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.    

We are looking for an Electrical Assembler – Level III. This position will be based at Wendell, NC.

An Electrical Assembler III is responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as LV Motor Control Centers, MV breakers, MV switchgear and Motor Control Centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform sub assembly wiring and final assembly wiring work to the highest level of accuracy and Workmanship

  • Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve

  • Work with large power cables including correct method of crimping connectors

  • Perform proper stripping and crimping techniques

  • Assemble components on panels per given layout or drawings

  • Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others

  • Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience performing mechanical assembly (build) of product

  • 2+ years’ experience working with standard hand and power tools both pneumatic and battery operated

  • 5+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring

  • Must have the ability to read and work with schematic drawings/layouts/wire lists with minimal to no supervision

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • SAP and Salesforce experience

  • Knowledge of other production areas

  • Ability to train others

  • Able to troubleshoot problems with the engineering team

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances

  • Proven record in Quality and Productivity

  • The hourly pay for this position is $24.79. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
