The Chemistry, Automation and Immunoassay (CAI) Sales Trainer plays a critical role in the sales training and soft skills development of all new hire AM, CCS, CLAS and ISS roles. This person will work with all New Hires as well as support ongoing sales training skills through the creation of targeted training programs. This person will regularly communicate with Sales Leadership and Marketing to align sales training with organizational initiatives and business goals.
Develop and implement the overall sales training strategy for CAI product lines that maximizes performance and sales results
Work with Zone Field Sales Trainers to continually update training content/material to meet the Organizational strategies and changing LD market landsca- Develop and execute a sales training program aligned with the Marketing and Organizational strategies
Deliver formal training programs, which could include but are not limited to the following: New Hire Training, Sales Product Training, Mentorship program and Advanced Sales Training
Continually evaluate all sales training activities to identify areas for improvement and drive overall effectiveness
Provide written feedback to the Regional Sales Director based on observations post field rides, classes etc.
Consistently increase knowledge and awareness of changes in the healthcare industry including healthcare reform, competition and industry trends while keeping pace with training and development innovation
Be the product expert for those instruments he/she will be responsible for training
Take on other roles and responsibilities that may be necessary to support the success of Siemens
Ideally this person should reside close to the main training facilities near our Glasgow, Delaware office, but candidates may live anywhere in the Northeast near a major airport if willing to travel significantly.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
5+ years of successful lap capital Sales experience.
Education: BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
10 plus years’ experience working in direct support of a sales organization
Knowledge of adult learning principles preferred
Experience conducting training programs
Strong presentation skills
Experience leading projects with minimal supervision
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of the hospital core laboratory and industry marketplace
Knowledge of Siemens and competitive products
Self-starter who takes initiative
Able to make difficult decisions in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems with limited supervision
Strong organizational skills
Minimum of 70 percent
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Previous sales training experience.
