Job Description: Project Manager / OEM Productivity Leader

Position Overview:

  • Siemens Healthiness is seeking a Productivity Leader of its Global OEM Business. This role Reports to the VP of Procurement located in Tarrytown, NY.

  • The Productivity Leader will acquire, plan and manage complete projects and programs, including cross-functional coordination with PLM, procurement, manufacturing and technical teams.

  • The scope of the position includes identifying and overseeing productivity projects among the sourcing, manufacturing, factory logistics, warehousing, transportation, suppliers and customer support functions.

  • This position is a catalyst to identify and drive ongoing productivity projects to the organization and support the Siemens Healthiness strategy for profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional screening for potential projects and define key gaps and opportunities for OEM productivity strategy

  • Deliver detailed productivity project plans in alignment with cross-functions

  • Develop and lead the OEM productivity steering team to ensure oversight, achievement and escalation of productivity targets and projects

  • Support strategic planning for the supply chain and procurement – including forecast and budget planningand ensure ongoing progress of the organization’s productivity programs

  • Deepen the organization’s cultural maturity with regards to productivity thinking and acting

  • Deliver financial and operational results from productivity initiatives including product optimization, in/out sourcing, manufacturing and logistic improvements

  • Drive project/program management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management activities).

  • Coordinate technical and organizational reviews and documentation.

  • Project manage actions to ensure timeframe and productivity targets are met

  • Fulfill the obligatory implementation requirements and ensuring consistency with applicable regulations

  • Apply to the financial controller to raise the DI level of the action and update the action

  • Communicate the overall implementation progress of individual actions to employees as well as status of achieving productivity targets to the Site Productivity Steering Team

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Candidate must be highly skilled in project management methods, such as: scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management

  • Technical or procurement background and experience in the laboratory diagnostics business to understand the diagnostics supply chain

  • Ability to be successful and influence within a strong matrix environment

  • Associates degree or equivalent with an emphasis in a technical field. Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Strong knowledge of industry fundamentals and business operations

  • Excellent procurement skills

  • An understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assigned projects

  • Strong leadership, listening, verbal and written communication skills

  • Previous project management experience

  • Experience with Siemens Laboratory Diagnostics is a plus
