Responsibilities: • Responsible globally for Electromechanical Systems (EMS) for Siemens Healthineers, covering 17 sites across the North American, Asian and European regions, with an annual PVO responsibility in excess of 100 million USD, for which he / she is fully accountable for, including material savings generation and budget planning. • Leads the global Commodity Business Team (CBT) with a reporting line to all members. In alignment with CBT, develops and implements a global Commodity Strategy. • Develops and executes best-in-class negotiation concepts to maximize savings and to optimize the leverage / purchasing power of Siemens. • Has the global and binding mandate for price and contract negotiations which can be delegated to CBT members. Core elements of negotiations are prices, terms and quality, with the direct result of producing a reduction in the cost of purchased parts, sufficient quality standards, and acceptable risk levels. • Drives completion of contracts in coordination with Legal. • Performs value analysis to identify cost improvements. Identify and co-ordinate cost-reduction opportunities for materials ensuring correct approvals and evaluations are obtained. • Fully manages material's supply base as a whole, driving key strategic initiatives, including sourcing risk improvement, supply count optimization, preferred supplier selection and promotion, and supplier classification. • Timely and proactively communicates to all relevant parties within supply chain, including: communication with Stakeholders on Supply Issues ensuring actions are taken to minimize the operational impact, promotion and adoption of best practices throughout the organization, driving of standardization of parts, and reporting results and forecast to management • Represents HC in the global Siemens Purchasing Council. • Analyses and reports on supplier performance metrics including delivery and quality including development of supplier development plans where necessary. • Develops new supply sources to support existing and new product requirements. Identify and qualify capable suppliers with the involvement and support of technical personnel where appropriate. Requirements: • Commercial negotiation skills • Project management skills • Ability to analyze material cost breakdowns and assess their accuracy based on market values • Complex problem resolution • Ability to lead a globally dispersed CBT • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Basic technical skills as needed to assess overall supply base capability • Minimum of 5-10 years procurement or supply chain experience, with prior experience as Commodity Manager • Global mindset & networking skills • Independent, but team oriented work style • Strategically oriented and proactive • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
