The RAMS Manager is responsible for aspects relating to obtaining safety certifications, and works closely with the project team including the project manager, engineering, development, validation and as well as the customer, assessors and other authorities if necessary.

You will:

  • Ensure that all necessary documents (including hazard analyses, technical safety reports, safety cases including derived safety applciation rules, etc.) are available on time to enable certification issues to be successfully handled

  • Be the intermediary between the project, customer RAMS Manager as well as assessors and, if needed, other certification authorities

  • Provide support in project execution with the objective of meeting customer requirements in terms of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety

  • Be responsible for safety certification with alignment to costs and deadlines, if required

  • Analyse and evaluate all RAMS and System Assurance related customer requirements

  • Prepare technical RAMS and System Assurance documentation and analyse as required by the project

  • Support and collaborate with closely related engineering subject areas, such as system engineering, integration, EMC, cyber-security, T&C.

  • Review system related documents, project execution of the relevant work packages based on detailed cost and time planning.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You bring your prior experience in a similar role in a RAMS and/or Safety Assurance function, preferably in Rail.

  • You have experience using standards such as IEC61508, EN50126/8/9, Software databases such as Rationale IBM DOORS, DOORS NG & Goal Structuring Notation (GSN).

  • You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
