What will you do?

The Regional Smart Building Solutions (SBS) unit at Siemens Smart Infrastructure is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in Building Automation/BMS, Enterprise Security, and Fire Systems. This role involves leading projects in the ASEAN region, ensuring top-tier quality standards during commissioning and critical implementation.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Project Review and Coordination: Thoroughly review project specifications, drawings, and documents to establish project intent and coordinate with the project team.

  • Schedule Development and Management: Develop and maintain a project schedule, identifying time-sensitive installation needs and tracking resources and project progress.

  • Supply and Material Management: Manage the requisition of supplies and materials necessary for project completion.

  • Cost Review and Subcontractor Management: Review plans and specifications, participate in project cost reviews, and oversee the shortlisting and contracting of subcontractors.

  • Orientation and Documentation: Conduct project orientations for technicians, providing all necessary documentation, including scope of work, drawings, and specifications.

  • Change-Order and Billing Coordination: Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities, coordinate project-specific billing with the Commercial team.

  • Commissioning, Close-out, and Project Management: Schedule project-specific commissioning resources, manage the project and its profitability (P/L), guide engineers, and ensure completion of project-specific close-out documentation. : Demonstrate strength in contract management and change management

  • Quality Assurance and EHS Responsibility: Take responsibility for the Quality Assurance (QA) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) aspects of the project.

Your defining qualities:

  • Educational Background and Certification: Minimum Associate degree required; a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. PMP certification is mandatory, while PRINCE2 or ACP would be advantageous.

  • Project Management Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in Building Automation/BMS, or Fire System, or a combination thereof.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and comprehend MEP drawings, specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams. Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet. Or comprehend Fire addressable systems, Fireman Intercom, HSSD, flooding system standard and NFPA requirements.

  • Entrepreneurial orientation: Being responsible for projects encompassing both technical and financial dimensions.

  • Industry Experience: Project experience in diverse sectors such as Data Centres, Pharma, Hospitals, Lab/GMP facilities, and Infrastructure projects are advantageous

  • Organizational Skills and Attitude: Demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality reporting. Adaptable with a positive "can-do" attitude.

  • Digital Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with Digital Engineering processes, management of the Common Data Environment, Data Standards, and the ability to comprehend IT network topology are additional assets.

  • Risk Forecasting and Communication Skills: Strong acumen to understand situations and forecast potential risks in advance. Proficient in any Project software tool. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Interest in Emerging Technologies: Displays a keen interest in emerging technologies to support digital growth within the industry.
