As part of a strong and established team of project and structured finance risk managers, you will support the Bank’s continued growth with a focus on energy and infrastructure transactions. In this context you will underwrite and manage your own projects

As an Associate Director - Workout, you will make a difference for the servicing of the Problem Obligor portfolio of Siemens Bank GmbH, maintenance & governance of the related transactions of the Branch and acting as contact person for all Workout related topics.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Being responsible for implementing and monitoring adequate measures regarding loss minimization for problem loans. Based on the risk analysis including financial and other due diligence you assess options, implement them and monitor the results

  • Being responsible for approvals, internal documentation and determination of allowances

  • Performing validation and maintenance of problem obligor loan portfolio, ensuring data quality. This includes managing arrears and maintaining data for allowances in the Lending systems.

  • Collaborating closely with various teams, including Risk Management, Rating, Legal, Accounting, Controlling, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting, to address queries and ensure smooth operations

  • Engaging with customers, bank partners, key regulators, and internal and external auditors, fostering productive relationships including representing Siemens Bank in customer negotiations.

  • Providing advisory support and guidance to Risk Management colleagues and other departments for Problem Obligors, transactions in intensive care and Forbearance.

  • Actively supporting the digitalization of workflows

You’ll win us over by:

  • The basis of your success is a bachelor´s or master´s degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in the international and structured credit business in a financial company (preferably for Leveraged or Project financing; other product experience helps, e.g. purchase of receivables)

  • Having gained initial experience in Workout, Restructurings, insolvency procedures, and realization of collaterals

  • You bring advanced knowledge about risk assessment as well as rating and credit analysis. Further knowledge includes contract legal documentation. Risk management processes, risk mitigation instruments and risk systems are familiar to you due to your previous professional experience.

  • Being familiar with coordinating internal interfaces and negotiating with external clients, shareholders, attorneys and bank partners

  • Having intercultural sensitivity and excellent English skills enable you to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and partners in an international environment

  • Having a strong teamwork ethic, good organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail complete your profile

  • Having strong IT user skills (in particular with Excel-based financial models)
