Siemens is a large multinational corporation that operates in various industries, including Digital Industry, Inquisitive Infrastructure. The dedicated export control position within Siemens is essential to ensuring that the company operates in a responsible and compliant manner.

Moreover, the export control position in Siemens would be attractive to individuals who are interested in working in a dynamic and challenging environment, where they can apply their experience and knowledge of export control regulations and compliance to a range of industries and technologies.

You’ll make an impact by

• This position would be responsible for implementing export control policies and procedures, introducing mentorship and trainings to employees, and coordinating compliance with relevant Export Control regulations.

• Supervise new developments and changes for Export Control and evaluate potential impacts on the business.

• Resolve export control classifications (ECCN, AL, other) for software and hardware products. Perform de-minimis calculations to identify products that are subject to the EAR.

• Perform and record periodic export control spot checks, and work with the business to remediate issues identified.

• Be a trusted advisor to the business and manage issues related to Export Control, collaborating with EX colleagues in HQ and Siemens China.

• Drive continuous improvement around Export Control related topics through lean, optimized processes and effective controls.

Your defining qualities

• Working experience in Export Control / Trade compliance is preferred.

• Analyze situations, anticipate, identify, and define problems, seek root causes, develop, and implement practical and timely solutions.

• Think and act in ways that are new and novel by questioning the status quo

• Ability to create and explore alternatives and to respond to challenges with innovative solutions.

• Effectively engage with digital technology for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholders. Completed university studies in business administration or law or equivalent,

• Master’s degree is preferable

• Strong oral and written Chinese and English is required.
