Today, we are recruiting for a Quality and Documentation Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement quality management plans, procedures, and standards for the rolling stock overhaul project, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer specifications, and internal quality objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Department, Overhaul Coordinator, and Technical Expert to ensure compliance with quality assurance and control processes throughout the overhaul process, from initial assessment to final delivery, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards, and identifying trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct thorough inspections at various stages of the overhaul process, identifying and addressing any deviations or non-conformities promptly.

  • Coordinate with the engineering team, suppliers, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Lead the document development and review process, involving all relevant stakeholders, such as customers, consultants, on-site overhaul team, and off-site subcontractors.

  • Establish and maintain robust document control processes to manage overhaul documentation. effectively, including work instructions, inspection reports, test records, and certifications.

  • Oversee the configuration management process for rolling stock equipment, ensuring that all changes and modifications are properly documented, reviewed, and approved by established procedures.

  • Develop and maintain a centralized document repository, ensuring accurate version control, access permissions, and traceability of all overhaul-related documentation.

  • Provide training and support to overhaul personnel on quality management systems documents control procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and change management activities to ensure that overhaul activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in railway engineering, with a focus on quality assurance/control and document management.

  • Proficiency in implementing and maintaining quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and document control procedures.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to work in different overhaul sites and attend meetings as required.
