Job Description:

Position Overview

Siemens Richland, MS is looking for aHigh Voltage Circuit Breaker Engineer to join theirCustomer Order Engineering Department. The candidate will provide assistance in routine planning of detailed product development objectives. Assists in the preparation of routine sketches, design layouts, and other specifications. This person reports to the Product Engineering Manager and will have no direct reports.

Responsibilities:

Directing design and drafting personnel to assure proper execution of the design in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications, translating customer requirements into production BOM's, and participating in the resolution of problems that arise during the manufacturing process, or after product delivery. Knowledge of relevant IEEE/IEC/ANSI standards is also a plus.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  1. BS Electrical Engineering with experience in control circuit and / or circuit breaker design (preferred), BS Mechanical Engineering is also acceptable.

  2. Position requires ability to appraise quality, adequacy, economy, and practicality of engineering design and drafting work.

  3. Knowledge of general manufacturing, product testing, and / or substation design is a plus.

  4. Requires excellent communication skills for both internal partners and external customers.

  5. Excellent oral and written skills.

  6. Works well in a team environment as well as independently.
