Overview:

Siemens Industry is seeking a Business Manager of the Distribution Transformers (includes Liquid immersed distribution transformers and voltage regulators) to lead the profitable business growth and ensuring operational excellence in delivering products to our customers. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver best in class performance (operational excellence and Go-to-Market) from our distribution transformer portfolio to all of our utility, non-utility and export customers. The business is located in Jackson MS and the candidate will report to the Plant Manager.

Annual revenue is $45+ M with detailed plans to significantly beat the CAGR of the market over next five years. Business Manager Distribution Transformers will report VP& GM High Voltage Products (HP) in the US and functionally to the global CEO of LiDT (Liquid immersed transformers) in Germany. This business leader will lead the distribution transformers’ operations in Jackson MS and closely work with global functional partners and the field sales units in the US and assigned export markets.

Key Deliverables include:

• Lead the day to day LiDT business P&L. Ensure performance metrics are on track and achieved (incl: revenue, profit, cash flow, EVA, SG&A, Productivity).

• Develop and grow profitable distribution transformer/voltage regulators sales in the US market and assigned export markets.

• Execute the plans of operational excellence and Go-to-Market to continue to be a reliable partner to our customers and meet/exceed financial KPIs.

• As the senior leader, take responsibility for the satisfaction of all of our customers. Maintain excellent & personal relationships with key customers and business partners through direct interaction/involvement.

• Build on a culture of customer responsiveness and service orientation; maintain a reputation of customer intimacy and product reliability/quality.

• Develop team personnel through personal coaching, by embracing diversity, and by strengthening the team through training and development.

Qualifications & Experience include:

  • BSEE/BSME is required. MS or MBA preferred.

  • Experience in manufacturing is strong preference.

  • Experience of the US market and customers are strong preferences

  • Minimum 10 years of business experience with strong business acumen.

  • Product based business experience from Industry or Utility markets.

  • Commercial skills (including contract negotiation and dispute resolution/claims support.

  • Interpersonal style that allows him/her to be demanding when setting and achieving results while working effectively in a team based environment.

  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse matrix organization.

  • Knowledge of utility industry marketing, financial controls and opportunities Applications of TR products in Utilities and Industry sectors.

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time locally as well as internationally.
