We are currently seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack Guru for our Princeton, NJ location.

What are my responsibilities?

We are looking for an infrastructure software engineer to join our team in supporting the design, implementation and deployment of tools and techniques developed by our team. Daily responsibilities for this engineer include:

  • Professional software development in multiple programming languages including C++, Python, and JavaScript.

  • Rapid prototyping proof-of-concept software to enable the refinement of project-specific software architectures.

  • Assisting Research Scientists with choosing the right set of software tools and architecture for achieving successful deployment of our projects.

  • Learning concepts, techniques and methods from domains/fields unfamiliar to the engineer, e.g., 3D graphics, in order to support/lead the software development for projects in such domains.

  • Implementing and maintaining infrastructure to improve the efficiency of our team’s operation, e.g., continuous integration tools, resource planning tools, automation tools, etc.

  • Effective communication with Research Scientists, Engineers and Managers by articulating/justifying engineer’s choices during a software development cycle.

What skills are needed to qualify for this position?

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science. PhD is preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience developing industrial software.

  • Strong expertise in object oriented programming with C++ and Python.

  • Strong expertise in model-driven development and component-based software engineering.

  • Expertise in modern web development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and libraries/frameworks such as JQuery, React, AngularJS, and MeteorJS.

  • Familiarity with Linear Algebra and 3D graphics programming.

  • Comfortable with both Windows and Linux-based development environments.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US --Export Control Law.
