The CTAutomation and Control Technology Field is seeking a highly motivated PhD student available for a 3-9month internship for our Princeton, NJ location. The successful candidate will work on design, modeling and simulation of complex systems of systems as part of the ProductModeling and Simulation Research Group (PSM-US) to develop software prototypesfor the design of complex multi-scale systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to the development of a software prototypeintegrating multiple components, both at the front-end and at the back-endlevel;

  • Implement reusable, efficient and maintainable softwarecomponent using main stream programming languages;

  • Contribute to the development of innovative concepts andtheir implementation and publication in journals or patents.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Current student majoring in aPhD program in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Engineering.

  • Strong programming skills in C++and/or Python and/or JavaScript and hands-on coding skills and ability toquickly prototype in these languages.

  • Knowledge on formal softwaredevelopment processes and understanding of software architecture specifications.

  • Outstandingwritten and verbal communication skills in English are required. Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.

  • Drive andmotivation for career development and open to taking on challenges.

  • Team playerwho can also be independent, prioritize work and thrives in a fast-paceddynamic environment.

  • Thesuccessful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law.
