The CT Technology Field on Networks and Communication is seeking a highly motivated M.S/Ph.D student for a 6 month (starting 09/2017) full-time internship to work in the area of design, and implementation of localization/ target-tracking techniques using COTS wireless devices. The internship is an opportunity to design and develop robust algorithms and implement and test them in real environment settings. The successful candidate will work with the Embedded Networks Research Group to take ownership of the task and design and develop algorithms to implement robust real-time system using COTS wireless devices tailored for E-mobility applications. Our Princeton facility is recognized for providing a stimulating environment for highly talented and self-motivated students. You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge in a challenging problem-solving environment. You will be encouraged to think out-of-the-box, innovate and find solutions to real-life problems.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Design and implement real-time localization/ target tracking using COTS wireless devices tailored for E-mobility applications;

  • Encouraged to explore the design space including passive/ active techniques and signal combining techniques to enhance robustness;

  • Demonstrate the implemented system in real environment settings;

Required knowledge/skills?

  • Current student/recent graduates majoring in a M.S/Ph.D program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent domain;

  • Knowledge in one or more of the following: Wireless communication/ networking/ signal processing/ machine learning.

  • Proficient coding skills/ experience working with linux kernels.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English are required.Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.

  • Drive and motivation for career development and open to taking on challenges.

  • Team player who can also be independent, prioritize work and thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • The successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law.
