Job Description:

Job Summary:

Responsible for the architectural definition and direction of a product or set of products in the Teamcenter Applications suite. Maintains and demonstrates expertise in the product; possesses industry and process knowledge in relevant product areas, and technical knowledge in the

particular discipline. Recognized by internal and external customers as a leader in a variety of areas. Sought out by others to solve their most complex of technical problems. This position will specialize in the definition and evolution of Teamcenter Systems Driven Product Development (SDPD) solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Establish architectural direction that provides context for near term product deliverables

o Collaborate with product management and marketing to anticipate future market direction and allow for growth; minimize downstream re-work

• Provide technical ownership and oversight for specific development projects

o Create and maintain architectural deliverables such as Data Model, Use Cases and Implementation Strategy

o Actively contribute to project deliverables such as Agile Stories

o Analyze and resolve technical issues and evaluate design alternatives

o Collaborate closely with other architects and product teams on issues spanning multiple applications or domains

• Represent SDPD Architecture vision to customers, partners and analysts

o Create and deliver product presentations in support of technical pre-sales: demonstrate Siemens SDPD vision/ leadership/ intellectual capital

o Understand specific customer business processes and issues and explain application of Teamcenter technology and its benefits

o Ensure customer use cases are factored into architectural evolution

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members

• Author technical publications such as white papers, conference submissions and patent applications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical discipline

Experience:

o 10-15 years in Enterprise software product development, with a breadth and depth of experience across the software lifecycle

o At least 5-10 years professional experience in PLM. In-depth experience with Teamcenter products desirable

o Functional domain knowledge/expertise: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Systems engineering,4th Generation Design (4GD), Behavioral modeling and simulation,

Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and embedded systems/software development

o Practical knowledge/general experience: software architecture, software design, software development, software testing, UML, SysML,

business analysis and strategy, customer engagement, agile development

• Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with global and remote team environments

• Willingness to travel
