Siemens Rolling Stock Diagnostics Designer with German in Pilsen, Czech Republic

Here, we breathe life into our vehicles by crafting control functions in both SW and HW. We strive to ensure that the rolling stock we develop achieves a high level of safety and reliability. We are interested in every operational aspect so that the vehicles work perfectly as a whole. We are looking for solutions to achieve the lowest possible energy consumption by combining different approaches to energy management on board the train.

Main responsibilities:

Your main role will be to take ownership for the diagnostics design process, starting with the development of the diagnostic and service concept, through to supporting implementation on our vehicles. Your role will include, for example:

  • Diagnostics management with a focus on diagnostic messages for all devices in the vehicle

  • Working closely on the project to establish timelines, meet costs and deadlines

  • Validation of diagnostic data

  • Communication within the international team especially in Germany

Key qualifications:

  • High school/university degree in electrical engineering

  • Knowledge of the German language for daily communication

  • General knowledge of electrical engineering (e.g., reading electrical drawings)

  • Experience in system testing, requirements analysis, interface specification or diagnostic design is an advantage
