Siemens Wind Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced Benefits & Insurance Accountant in Orlando, FL. This position will require extensive experience and technical knowledge of actuarial accounting related to benefits/health & welfare and insurance accounting as well as current IFRS guidelines related to Financial Statement accounting and reporting
Review, analysis and oversight to the US benefit processes and actuarial data.
Coordination with the company’s actuarial firm and HR teams on benefit pools and actuarial accruals.
Validation of accuracy of benefit and insurance processes and controls
Communication of actuarial impacts or changes in H&W accruals or insurance liability requirements
Confirmation of all US Wind balances for related liabilities and accruals
Review and approval of related account reconciliations
Support organization in all matters supporting Payroll/Benefit & Insurance related impacts to the divisional financial statements.
Reporting of financial statement fluctuations related to payroll, employee benefits/accruals and business insurance
Delivery of payroll/benefits/insurance information for external or internal auditors and/or divisional review purposes
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
8-10 years experience in a large corporation accounting environment with a strong understanding/use of IFRS, FASB and US GAAP accounting principles
6-8 years experience in actuarial benefits and insurance accounting
Experience working with Health and Welfare and Insurance actuarial firms
Experience in worker’s compensation accounting
Proven ability to comprehend actuarial reports and results to support insurance accounting oversight.
4-6 experience with SAP FI
Excellent communication, writing, reporting skills to effectively communicate technical financial information
Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong and demonstrated analytical skills and problem solving skills
Strong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting.
Working knowledge of general business practices.
Proven leadership skills – able to drive and lead without direct influence
Experience and familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley
Ability and desire to plan, control, and contribute to solving complex problems.
Self-driven and resourceful to meet deadlines, achieve goals, work independently as well as work well in teams or groups
Flexibility to multi-task and adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities – ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

MBA from an accredited college or university preferred.
