Project Management for Wind Service


  • Manage multiple small to medium projects, or at least one, large project that is very complex in nature, through successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.Have sole responsibility for the implementation project’s direction, and control.Develop a clear, detailed plan, with well-defined tasks that identify the key milestones, as well as define the organizational structure of the project.Provide resolution for problems by utilizing excellent problem-solving skills, as well as offer constructive feedback, and motivate the project team.Monitor project performance to ensure the team stays on the approved timeline, secure project resource commitment, manage the global project team, manage budget performance, identify risks involved in a project and mitigate those risks to ensure that the project is not out of control at any point.Apply standard project management methodology and processes to define the scope of the project and secure approval of the CIPO, create WBS, estimate time, develop the global project schedule, estimate project costs, create a baseline budget, monitor and approve project costs, monitor cost to budget performance, craft a communications plan, perform a risk analysis and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle, devise a resource plan, perform stakeholder analysis as well as gain stakeholders’ approvals, ensure technical documents are complete and to quality, measure project progress, control project change by exercising the change management process, maintain the quality standard, as well as close out projects, capturing lessons learned.Responsibility of the effective communications with the stakeholder, and formal project reviews.Effectively communicate resource needs and project issues, interface with, and give direction to, the relevant functional organizations utilizing advanced interpersonal skills, and knowledge of the Siemens Wind Services organization, to gain commitment and champion the project. Maintain cross-functional/P&L interfaces, and utilize skills such as the ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions, and resolve conflicts.Self-motivated, are able to think quickly and adeptly about how to address problems as they come up, and to learn from the issues so that the same problems do not arise again.Have the ability to switch quickly between tasks and to think about the project on many different levels at once. Manage multiple constraints associated with the various projects. Build strong relationships within the departmentsDrive a high performance culture through strong leadership, and effective people management, through varied resources, and customer landscapes, across multiple geographical, departmental, and organizational silos. Minimum 5 - 8 years project management or schedule management. (Six Sigma YellowBelt or higher preferred.)PMI certification requiredBachelor’s Degree30% travelKnowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel are required.
