Position Overview

Join an agile and highly engaged Sales team that favors creativity, promotes drive and enthusiasm, and fosters customer relationship building.

As a proposal and marketing manager, you will be responsible for proactively driving sales growth and increasing market share Siemens Wind Power, Inc.’s Aftermarket business, including the marketing and selling of innovative new wind turbine enhancements, parts, and repair work. Both the portfolio of solutions and the addressable market for these solutions are growing at double digit rates, and you would be part of the team to define our market approach, customer engagement, and end-to-end sales activities. You will be part of the highly motivated and strong self-performing 8 person team that has built this business from scratch, and report directly to the Director of Aftermarket.


Responsibility for the aftermarket service product proposals process, including:

  • Product familiarity –Understand the internal costs andthe external value proposition of our products, including daily alignment with product developers and the Americas Operations organization to ensure that the latest processes are accounted for in the cost assessments

  • Relationship management – Gather, maintain, and respond to feedback and dialogue with customers regarding current and future product portfolios and customer needs

  • Proposal management – Working with a broad internal stakeholder network, compile cost and value information and use Siemens tools and internal approval processes to present and deliver value-based quotes to customers, responding to customer requests for clarification and status.

Required and Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in proposal or sales roles required

  • Experience in negotiation, customer relationship management, proposal generation, internal approval management, are all required

  • Travel between 5-10% of time

  • Strong quality orientation with high attention to detail

  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Relationship management and collaboration with internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.

  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and SAP
