This is a temporary part time position for a current College Student enrolled in a full-time time 4 yr degree program focused on Information Technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Siemens Energy Information Technologies Group is seeking several IT INTERNS for the Infrastructure group Orlando Florida. This internship will focus on assisting the professional staff with a variety of support and project activities. The position is designed for a highly organized self starter with strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.
o) High School diploma.
o) General knowledge about IT Infrastructure, Servers & Storage
o) Advanced user experience/ knowledge in regards to MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
o) Good scripting experience – VBScript, Powershell
o) Experience in handling File Permissions, Group Permissions, Permissions inheritance, DFS Shares
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Proven success working in both a collaborative team or independently.
o Willingness or demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
o Ability to communicate design concepts through storyboarding, wire-framing, and prototyping.
o Must be creative, organized, internet savvy and effectively meet deadlines.
o Possess a strong and reliable work ethic, be self-motivated and enthusiastic
o Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: These are additional skills that would help you be successful in the job.
o) Knowledge/ Exposure to Lotus Notes client
o) Knowledge/ Exposure to Backend systems like Active Directory, Exchange Servers, SQL Servers, MS SharePoint, Web Servers (Apache, IIS) and Web Application Servers (Tomcat)
