Commercial Business Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Power Generation Services Division (PS) is seeking a Commercial Business Analyst to support the International Field Service Organization. You will work directly supporting the Latin America International Business team. You will be part of world class team that prepares accurate financial reports, conducts cost-benefit analysis as well as forecasts and drives additional future business of the Service Line.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Manage the monthly forecasting process to ensure accurate and reliable Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Projections.

o Analyze cost center spending levels, meet with responsible managers and provide recommendations for future cost improvements

o Responsible for monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and follow up of pending action items.

o Lead the preparation of the monthly financial reports related to the International Branch in Puerto Rico.

o Initiate Ideas and advise proper methods for calculation of cost savings.

o Coordinate transfers of capital assets between the US entity and other Regional Siemens Entities.

o Assist in the planning process for the future Fiscal years, including but not limited to Cost Center spending, Costing rates, Headcount, Worked hours clearance Analysis.

o Key Contact for Branch Annual Audit and Tax Requirements.

o Calculate international costing and billing rates in order to define internal agreements with South American Regional Entities.

o Utilize skills in SAP and Excel in order to minimize efforts and add value to your daily analysis.

o Other duties and ad hoc reports as may be needed for the team.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

o 2-5 years of progressive experience in a global financial organization

o Excellent bilingual (English/Spanish) written / spoken / presentation skills.

o Advanced Computer Skills using SAP and Microsoft Office Tools.

o Experience supporting international business operations.

o Experience and proficiency in the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

o Skills in analysis of performance metrics for Operating and Capital Budgets and Forecasting.

o Ability to develop complex Mathematical Equations for modeling for reporting analysis and forecasting.

o Strong communications skills; able to clearly and concisely express technical information (or data) to non-technical associates, peers and management.

o Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.

o Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.

o Excellent writing, presentation meeting facilitation skills

o Ability and willingness for potential of 10% international or domestic travel

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

o Advance degrees or certifications (MBA CPA CMA)

o Siemens Coop or Internship is a plus
