Job Description:

Position Overview

Provides "expert" technical support for company building automations products and 3rd party systems to area operations (both Solutions and Service). Delivers training and technical support for field technicians. Provides on-site technical troubleshooting for resolution of customer issues. Provides technical support to field technicians on company products.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and resolves technical problems on jobs and provides appropriate reports to management. Works with other District Technical Specialists to develop and share technical solutions.

  • Coordinates installations and/or product upgrades with the customers IT Department. Troubleshoots any network, software, and/or hosted system malfunctions.

  • Reviews new technical documentation and provides communications and training to field technicians. Mentors field technicians on company systems and service products.

  • Provides technical sales assistance and support on new company products. Performs product demonstrations and communicates design strategies to district sales executives.

  • Participates in advisory teams for new product releases, project slates, and technical training development. Maintains technical expertise on all new products, tools, and gateways through continuing education initiatives.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certification may be required in some areas.

  • Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
