Specific Requirements: Position Overview

This position delivers the overall training strategy for the Controls Business Unit and works with Product Managers, Channel Managers and regional Product Consultants to create and deliver best-in-class training events and on-line, self-paced modules.

Reports to the Manager of Strategic Marketing and is an integral part of the growth strategy for the business.


Responsible for driving CE CP's Training and Competency development for Customers, Sales, Channel, Technical Support and Customer Support. This includes the:

• development of new training content for online and/or classroom delivery

• development and implementation of a certification concept for Sales and Channel

• coordination and planning of related internal and external events and creation of supporting communication.

• 60-75% travel to conduct training events around the U.S.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

The following knowledge/skills, education, and experiences are required to be considered for this position.

• BS/BA in Engineering or Marketing or equivalent experience

• Minimum 5 years in the Sales, Marketing, Product Management or Application Engineering of technical products

• Ability to develop and articulate different value propositions for Sales, Distribution and End Customers

• Excellent presentation skills

• Advanced PowerPoint ability

• Position requires 60-75% travel to conduct training sessions around the U.S.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

The following knowledge/skills and experiences are preferred but NOT required to be considered for this position.

• Industrial Controls Product Knowledge:

o Motor Control – IEC, NEMA, Solid State

o Control Circuit – Pilot Devices, Function Relays, Safety Components, Communication platforms

• In-depth knowledge of Industrial Control Products applications and functions

• General knowledge of Codes & Standards for Industrial Control Equipment

• Experience in Video Editing
