PositionOverview

TheSiemensLowVoltageProducts Financeorganization is searchingforanEntryLevel Financial Analysttosupport the ResearchandDevelopment Engineeringorganization.The qualifiedcandidatemust possessaBS/BA in a relateddiscipline and prefer 1 - 3 yearspreviousexperienceinFinancial Reporting, Analysis, andPlanningwith emphasis on Cost Center and/or Project Controlling.Thisposition will be basedinNorcross,Georgia andreportstotheR&D Controller.Thisrole will support thefollowingareas:Cost center,projectand asset controlling through financialreporting,analysisand budgeting.

Responsibilities;

  • Supportmonthly reporting processesforthe R&Dcost centers and projects.

  • Support themonthlyactivityreportingof Germany fundedproduct development projects.

  • Perform planvs. actual variance analysis on a monthlybasisand support monthly forecastingprocesses.

  • Supportthe monthend closing throughreconciliations, journalentries,analysisandreporting.

  • Providesupport during the semi-annualbusiness planningorbudgetingprocesses.

  • Support all aspects of asset controlling.As R&D develops new assets,insureproperdocumentationandreconciliationof allinvestments. Supportthe inventorycontrol of foreign anddomesticassets.

  • Providefinancial support inthearea of project controlling. Serveasa financial specialist supporting R&D projectsas theymovethroughthe ProductLifecycleMgmt.program.

  • Manage process improvement initiatives focused on improving overall performance of theR&D organization and theFinancialControllingprocesses.

RequiredKnowledge/Skills,Education,andExperience;

  • BS/BAin a related discipline.

  • ProficientinMS office (Excel, Word,PowerPoint).

  • Outstanding dataandinformationmanagementskills. Ability to understanddetaileddata analysis and providerecommendations tostakeholders.

  • Highlyorganized with ability to self-manage multiplepriorities and deadlines ina fast-paced environment.

  • Solid business acumen andabilitytointeractand communicate with alllevelsofmanagementwithin R&D andthe BusinessUnit.

  • Provencapabilitiesindriving standardization of financialprocessesand continuous process andperformanceimprovement.

PreferredKnowledge/Skills,Education,andExperience;

  • 1-3 years previous experienceinFinancialReporting, Analysis, and Planning with emphasis on Cost Center and/or Project Controlling.

  • SAP experiencepreferred.

  • Background&experiencewithdataminingutilizingSAP (Fl/CO/PS) preferred.

  • Advanced Excel knowledge preferred.

  • Experienceinmanufacturing industryorresearchand development a plus
