The role.

• Performs on-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of Siemens MV VFD systems.

• Guides site surveys to develop base or installation design plans.

• Guides training customers to maintain and adjust MV VFD Systems.

• Develops and submits technical reports covering all job activity.

• Guides the maintenance of tools and test equipment.

• Develops and submits scope of work, job safety analyses and Job Hazard assessments.

• Guides the review of task plans, drawings and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout the task duration.

Your profile.

• Understanding and influencing people are important requirements for the job

• Electrical/Electronic Technician or similar Engineering degree/diploma/certificate required.

• Experience with air and water cooled VFDs preferable. Advanced degrees may not be substituted for experience.

• Experience with and solid understanding of medium voltage industrial electrical systems is helpful.

• Knowledge of PLC principles and programming is an asset.

• Knowledge of commissioning and maintenance of MV/HV Motors is a strong asset.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand technical documents, schematic design specifications and update drawings as required.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

• Able to work at height from scaffolds or man-lift.

• Able to lift 50 lbs.
