We are looking for an experiencedPLM Applications Program Managerto join a Program Management team responsible forsupporting a 600 person Global Assay Development organization.
This position will primarily be responsible for leading projects to implement technical tools and solutions (e.g. Product Lifecycle Management) to support assay product development.
This position willdirectly report totheHead of Program Management.
Understand Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) architecture and createaroadmap ofidentifiedinitiativesfor realizationand deployment on very complex projects
Develop strategic plans and lead projects to implement new capabilities
Responsible for designing and driving continuous improvement plans/opportunities
Interface with IT to ensure tools are compatible and consistent with IT strategy
Ability to effectively communicate decisions and the rationales to business unit stakeholders and development teams
Provideregular and effective communication on progress and escalations to senior management on a proactive basis
Develop and cultivate relationships with SME’s and Stakeholders by facilitating workshops with SMEs/Stakeholdersto gain understanding of needs and priorities, and togain buy-inacross functional units
Work with teams in different geographicallocations (domestic and international) on projects of various size and scope
Elicit Requirements develop Use Cases and architect business processes that improve productivity
TranslateR&Duser needs into requirements and provide knowledge transfer to development teams
Liaison between R&D users and technical teams to provide feedback andmake recommendations on tool, features, and usage to meet business needs during requirements development through implementation
Ensure completion of Test Plans, Test Case Development, Verification, User Acceptance Testing, and User training
Provide primary support for implemented tools including tool administration and ensuring resolution of identified issue
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or Information Technology
Minimum of 12 years of total work experience in product development related field
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in PLM Systems such as Teamcenter
Minimum of 3 years of project management work
PLM solution architecture experience
Experience in implementing PLM capabilities in Teamcenter i.e. Change Management, Release Management
Experience working with teams in different geographical locations (domestic and international) on projects of various size and scope
Technical expertise with solid project management and methodology skills to systematically discuss , convince and influence employees at all levels in the organization
Solid process understanding and implementation methodology for project management (from end to end )
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Domestic and international travel required (20%)
Results oriented self-starter
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Master’s Degree in Science/Engineering or related discipline
10+ years of work experience in the PLM domain
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is not required but is a key differentiator
